College Football 26 will be released this summer, following the huge success of last year’s game, EA Sports has announced.
The series’ X/Twitter account announced the upcoming sequel. “We said this place would be packed again,” it began. “We would like to thank our players, athletes and fans for filling the entire hall with us. Let’s keep that energy going from kickoff until the release of College Football 26 this summer.”
EA Sports didn’t reveal cover stars, a specific release date or any other details, though with College Football 25 launching last July, it likely won’t be long before fans learn more.

It launched as the franchise’s first game in 11 years and was an instant success, attracting a whopping 700,000 players on its first day of Early Access and a staggering 2.2 million by the end.
It later closed out 2024 as the best-selling sports video game in U.S. history in terms of dollar sales, even surpassing professional league franchise Madden NFL.
In our 7/10 review, IGN said: “College Football 25 brings the action on the field with a energetic atmosphere, brilliant graphics, and plenty of shrewd gameplay tweaks. However, much of what happens off the pitch feels unfinished, with UI issues and barebones modes that look like they’re waiting for a revamp next season.
