- Dungeon Core: Nuclear Abyss is a novel roguelite game for iOS
- You will play as a member of a clean-up crew cleaning up the remains of a failed weapons program.
- Fight enemies, earn upgrades and travel closer to the core
You could say there is no worse but more vital job than being a janitor or cleaner. You are underappreciated, underpaid and usually the whole place of work would fall apart if you were not there to perform the necessary tasks. But it could be worse, you could be cleaning up after a failed biological experiment with radioactivity, and that is exactly what you do in Dungeon Core: Nuclear Abyss.
This novel top-down roguelite from Ulf Filip Karlsson for iOS drops you deep into a failed weapons program. Your mission is basic: neat up the mess you left behind. But before you think this is some retro version of Viscera Cleanup Detail, you should know that the definition of “clean” here is very, very loose.
Blast and blast your way through hordes of enemies in procedurally generated levels, collecting power-ups as you go, and facing increasingly powerful creatures. Your ultimate goal is to destroy the core itself, but you’ll need to make sure you’re stronger on each subsequent visit to do so.
While Dungeon Core is by no means the first top-down roguelite shooter, we do like its nuclear-green, filthy aesthetic. To us, Dungeon Core definitely has the feel of a competent, fun, and quite nicely designed roguelite with a touch of retro. So if you want a more sci-fi take on your roguelite dungeon shooter, check out Dungeon Core: Nuclear Abyss on iOS now!
