Dryleaf questline walkthrough Data for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

Dry-leaved data is an NPC you will encounter while exploring Scad Altus Ring of Fire‘S Shadow of Erdtree DLC. Technically, you can encounter it a bit earlier – as a summon sign during the boss fight against Rellan, Twin Moon Knight in Castle Ensis.

You will find Dry-leaved data while exploring Scad Altus. You will find it on Moorth is ruining the Place of Grace.

Technically, your first encounter with Dryleaf Dan takes place right before Rellan’s boss fight, Twin Moon Knight. Both Dry-leaved data AND Needle Knight Leda can be summoned to facilitate you in battle.

Pick up the “May the best win” gesture and the Monk’s Letter

The next step in Dane’s quest line is Highroad Cross Place of Grace which you’ll find north of Ensis Castle – Your first stop in the Scadu Altus region. When you approach the place of favor, you will be able to pick up two items related to Dryleaf Data: Monk’s announcement and “May the best man win” gesture..

The Monk’s Letter is a low note that simply says that a monk somewhere in the east wants you to challenge him to a fight without words.

Challenge Dan Dryleaf in the Ruins of Moorth

When you get to Moorth is ruining the Place of Grace, Dryleaf Dane will be standing nearby. He won’t talk to you though – he’s a monk from this scripture, so you have to challenge him without words. Execute “May the best man win” gesture. in front of him and you will start fighting.

Once Dane is defeated, he will disappear and you will find a Dryleaf Arts weapon and Dane’s Hat nearby.
