DREDGE meets Silent Hill f in the surreal demonstration of Chilla’s Art – and I’m already hooked

Chilla’s Art returns in a completely fresh form and this time we are heading to the ocean. The open water welcomes you with open arms, offering a boat, a gas station, a shop and a petite sandy beach to trick you into thinking you were born in paradise. But it’s more like purgatory. The single task of “going to school” brings you back to reality, even though nothing you’re looking at makes much sense.

This is UMIGARIan upcoming indie horror fishing game – and it’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen on Chilla’s Art.

The creator I always look forward to is the most eminent company, Chilla’s Art Closing the shift, Parasocial, BathsAND That is, Manto. With a distinct look and an identity that focuses on supernatural or stalking villains, Chilla’s Art has made a name for itself for creating consistent, slow-burn horror films with crazy yet terrifying imagery. In a similar vein to Rayll A fear to explore series or many Puppet Combo titles, Chilla’s Art has a signature, but the latest demo is very different from what this creator usually releases.

UMIGARI is a fishing simulator that follows typical simulator rules: catch fish, sell for profit and spend your hard-earned money on upgrades. Simulators are becoming increasingly popular on YouTube and Twitch, and their titles include: Schedule 1, Hellmart, PowerWashAND Supermarket simulatornext to the highly anticipated Quarantine zone AND We collect shadows. There’s something strangely comforting and addictive about these games, and Chilla’s Art knows it. It’s effortless to get distracted by bigger fish, more money and fresh places to explore, but there’s something wrong with what’s at the end of the line. A fish with flipper hands and human teeth, screaming as the harpoon hits their skin.

The question arises: Who exactly are you?

Nothing particularly nefarious seems to be happening. However, similar to DEEPEN, SubnauticsAND Iron lungit’s about diving beneath the rolling waves to discover their darkest secrets. At the heart of this entry is Japanese folklore, reminiscent of symbolism and strange dialogue Silent Hill it will make you wonder what exactly you are playing.

Chilla’s Art games are getting weirder by the second and I’m all for it. Shinkansen 0 AND Cursed digital camera these could be the titles that pushed the creator towards a fresh, experimental identity where confusion, disorientation and panic are at the top of the list, creating a horror experience you’ll never forget. It’s impossible to predict Chilli’s art now, and that’s a good thing.

As of this writing, no official release date has been announced. This terrifying version of Chilla’s Art never left, and UMIGARIThe demo summary is sure to leave you wanting more. It’s clear why Chilla decided to give us a good 30 minutes to an hour of play early because UMIGARI I’m already hooked and I know I’ll be hooked once this surreal adventure is over.
