EA and BioWare will reveal the release date of Dragon Age: The Veilguard later today, with the game’s announcement trailer set to drop at 5pm UK time, but the game’s October 31, 2024 release date has already been leaked via a video advert – captured by the ever-vigilant Wario64.
So… Dragon Age: The Veilguard is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 31st.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard – previously known as Dragon Age 4 and then as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf – is the long-awaited return of one of BioWare’s most popular RPG series.
The studio has been ramping up its reveals and teases over the past few months, starting with a massive gameplay trailer during Summer Game Fest that showed off the earliest bits of the game with our player character, Rook, and series mainstay Varric, delving into the very pretty but shady city of Minrathous in search of Solas. It also introduced a few other companions who raced against time to stop Solas from performing a ritual that would break the barrier between worlds, the Veil, that allowed demons to enter the world.
In tardy July, BioWare revealed the full list of voice actors for all companions:
- Tower voiced by Erika Ishii (Apex Legends, Destiny 2), Jeff Berg (Battlefield 1, NCIS), Bryony Corrigan (Baldur’s Gate 3, Good Omens) and Alex Jordan (Cyberpunk 2077, The Amazing World of Gumball).
- Harding, the dwarven scout voiced by Ali Hillis (Mass Effect 3, Naruto)
- Davrin Grey Warden voiced by Ike Amadi (Mass Effect 3, Halo 5: Guardians, Insomniac’s Spider-Man)
- Bellara the Veil Jumper voiced by Jee Young Han (Perry Mason, Unprisoned)
- Neve, the Shadow Dragon rebel voiced by Jessica Clark (True Blood, Pocket Listing)
- Taash the Dragon Hunter voiced by Jin Maley (Star Trek: Picard, Silicon Valley)
- Emmrich the Necromancer voiced by Nick Boraine (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Sails)
- Manfred, Emmrich’s Skeletal Assistantvoiced by Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Fallout 4).
- Lucanus the Killer voiced by Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West, Married Alive)
