In her September 10 review of the game, Leana Hafer stated: “Dragon Age: The Veilguard refreshes and revitalizes a multi-threaded series that has endured its middle years, and leaves no doubt that it deserves its place in the RPG pantheon. Next Holy Mass I have a very tough task ahead of me, something I couldn’t imagine saying before I got involved in this adventure.
“Enjoyable action combat, a fantastic cast of allies with their own deep storyline, top-notch cinematography and moving, nuanced character writing are the wings on which this triumphant dragon soars, stopping at all stops on a whirlwind journey across the North of Thedas and culminating in a stunning finale , built on memorable, tough choices and consequences. If we never get another Dragon Age, at least it will be high quality.
