Summer is coming to an end, and Woot is celebrating the changing of the seasons with a mini Fall Video Game Sale. There are a lot of great options in this sale event, but our absolute favorite deal is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door , which is down to just $45 (see here on Woot). That’s 25% off the MSRP of $59.99, so it’s a great time to grab it for yourself if you’ve been eyeing it. Keep in mind that this may not be the US version of the game, but since Switch games are region-free, it will work on your US Switch without any issues.

While not an ESRB release, Switch games do not require region restrictions, so they will work on your console without a problem.
If you need a little convincing before you hit the ‘add to cart’ button, it’s worth knowing that we gave the game a 9/10 in our Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door review. Our reviewer Logan Plant stated that “Paper Mario finally returns to its RPG roots with an astonishingly faithful and visually stunning remake of The Thousand-Year Door.” He added, “Everything that fans have been begging Nintendo to bring back is here, including a delightfully diverse turn-based combat system with satisfying real-time elements and unique, lovable party members who are essential to both the story and the gameplay.”
On top of that, it “also introduces a number of modern improvements that improve (but don’t eliminate) the backtracking issues in the original, making it the best way to experience Mario’s quest to collect Crystal Stars.” If you’re a Mario fan and can’t wait to add this remake to your library, there’s no better time than now to do so.
