I want you to know how much I enjoy combining my work with Back to the Future. Not only can I mention the greatest movie in existence, but I can play its two main characters Fortnite. Yes, with Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly available on the Battle Pass, it’s time for something modern Doctor Brown Fortnite skin to shine. Christopher Lloyd’s beloved scientist is not alone, but something is missing.
After weeks of leaks and rumors about release dates, Dr. Emmett Brown is now available for purchase in Fortnite Item shop. For 2,000 V-Bucks, the Doc Brown Bundle will equip you with Hill Valley’s top scientist, the Flux Capacitor Backpack, Doc’s Time Machine Collection Tool, and the Battle Time Machine emote. Also features Huey Lewis and The Power of Love on the News as a jam. I wouldn’t mind “Back in Time,” but hey, “The Power of Love” is still a sweet addition.
You’ll notice that Doc Brown’s appearance is directly based on his appearance in the first thirty minutes of Back to the Future, when he was wearing a radiation suit at the Twin Pines Mall. I won’t deny how frigid it is… but Epic Games makes one glaring omission. Where the hell is his Back to the Future 2 outfit? After getting Marty and moving to 2015, Doc’s storylines have evened out significantly. Unfortunately, the Doctor’s alternate style simply puts on a helmet with a radiation mask.
This is an odd decision, considering Marty’s bonus outfit from the Battle Pass gives players access to his son’s adjustable jacket and hat from BTTF2. They can even be paired with the notable Nike MAG, a pair of self-lacing shoes. Perhaps Epic Games will follow a similar path to The Simpsons and release a few additional variants to earn those precious V-Bucks. If that’s the case, let’s also take Einstein’s helper. I mean, technically, he’s the world’s first traveler.
Doc Brown is accompanied by a DeLorean, which is a separate package. Priced slightly higher at 2,500 V-Bucks, you can get the Legendary Time Machine with various cosmetic items and stickers to customize it. If you already own this game on Rocket League, you should get it for free when you launch the game. If you are not sure, check your locker. Conversely, if you buy it in the item shop, you will own it in Rocket League.
Throughout the game’s history, there are some amazing Fortnite skins to admire. For a long time my favorite character was John Wick, but currently my favorite character is Marty McFly. Come on, he’s probably the coolest movie character ever. Just look at the IV and those damn Nike Bruin sneakers. Doctor Brown leaves the Item Shop on December 30, 2025, so don’t hesitate to get it.
