While the mainstream ARPG community may be busy right now debating the merits of Path of Exile 2; however complex (and sometimes downright unfair) it can be, and how much it is and resembles Diablo, regular gamers probably don’t care much about it.
However, what may turn their heads – at least in Blizzard’s eyes – is the chance to play Diablo 4 for free while everyone is away on vacation.

Blizzard has once again brought back the trial version of Diablo 4. This particular version is one of the more generous ones, as it allows people who don’t own the game to play the main campaign and try out the novel Spiritborn class (from Vessel of Hatred).
The trial is available on PC (Battlenet), PlayStation and Xbox, which is a nice change from some of the trials available on PC in the past. The trial period is available now until Friday, January 3, and covers the Christmas and New Year’s Eve break.
Diablo 4 is also on sale for up to 40% off across all platforms, giving you another reason to turn your free trial into a full purchase if you think it’s worth it. All your progress will also carry over. We would like to remind you that the Diablo 4 base game is also available as part of Game Pass on PC and Xbox.
