Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was met with criticism and withstood extremely low player numbers on Steam. Some of the frustration came from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League NO is another Batman game from Rocksteady, even though it takes place in the Arkhamverse. The developer’s single-player Arkham series is very much loved by fans, just like the 2011 series Batman: Arkham City notably recognized as one of the greatest, if not the best superhero video games of all time. On the other hand, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a live-action third-person shooter where Batman is the villain. Publisher Warner Bros. admitted that shortly after the game’s release in February 2024 the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League contributed to a $200 million revenue boost.

In June, Warner Bros. IGN said this Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will have its first year of supportbut declined to comment on what happened next. Deathstroke and Season 4 are the culmination of the first year, which also saw the release of DLC characters Joker, Ms. Freeze, and Lawless. Is this all for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? IGN asked Warner Bros. for comment.

Earlier this year Bloomberg announced that Rocksteady employees are currently working on the director’s cut of the phenomenally successful film Hogwarts Legacywhile management decided to return to the single-player game following live support errors. Was this proposal about Batman? In November, Warner Bros. said it plans to double production on Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones and DC “particularly Batman” after a series of setbacks.
