How to Complete Kent’s Photo Challenge in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
There are two main ways to complete this challenge. You can do it the way the game suggests, by placing comical hats on a group of zombies and then taking a photo of them as they wander around in the gloomy. Or, alternatively, you can take a photo of a specific survivor who simply appears before the photo challenge time. Both methods work and don’t require much work.
Let’s start with the intended method, which is also the method you can do when you accept Kent’s challenge. From the upper level of Paradise Plaza where you meet Kent, go down to the ground floor and go to Child’s Play. Inside you’ll find a stack of Servebot helmets. When placed on a zombie’s head, they provide a fun bonus to photos of affected zombies, and there are more than enough of them here to reach 1000 PP.
What you should do is straightforward. Take these hats and start placing them on the grouped zombies near the store. Make sure these zombies are close together because you will want to take a picture of all the zombies you stick the hats on at once. Once you do this 5-6 times you should be able to take a picture of all of these zombies for an straightforward, 1000 PP fun photo.
If you’re having trouble, you can also apply some magazines to aid you reach the PP milestone more easily. The War Photography Magazine, found in the Entrance Plaza Bookstore on the ground floor, provides a basic PP boost for the photos you take. You can access this store after the mandatory story boss fight in the Entrance Plaza.
But what if you don’t want to do that? Well, there’s an straightforward alternative the next day. Just before you turn in the Photo Challenge, you’ll get a call from Otis that a rather hungry survivor is inside Jill’s Sandwiches in Paradise Plaza, just a few steps from where Kent will be waiting. This guy is Ronald, and he’ll need some food or drink to go with you. Give him some food or drink and he’ll shove it in his mouth. Taking a picture of him doing this gives you a huge PP bonus for a fun photo, which is exactly what Kent needs. You can then head upstairs with Ronald in tow and wait for Kent.
Using either method, you should be able to proceed to the next stage of Kent’s little storyline. This will happen the next day, so you’ll have plenty of time to kill before Kent shows up again.
