Ahead of its August 7th release, 11 bit Studios has announced several DLCs for its exploration and creature rescue game Creatures of Ava. The DLC was created in partnership with the charity Whale and Dolphin Conservation and will include cosmetic backpacks priced at $2.99. All net proceeds from the DLC will go to the charity. The DLC will also be included in the Creatures of Ava Digital Deluxe Edition.
In Creatures of Ava, players take on the role of Vic, who, along with her companion Tabitha, has crashed on the planet Ava. The creatures on the planet are threatened by a threat known as the Withering, which threatens all life on Ava. Gameplay involves exploring four different biomes, solving puzzles, documenting creatures, and rescuing them. To assist save these creatures, Vic learns musical melodies from the planet’s inhabitants, known as the Naam, in order to tame the animals.
Creatures of Ava was co-written by Rhianna Pratchett and explores themes of protection, empathy, and sacrifice. Creatures of Ava will be available on August 7 for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
