After three days of competition, Q9 won in Delta Force Invitational 2025. The inaugural event, which took place in the Hangzhou Esports Center in China, gathered the twelve best Delta Force teams in the world. But this is Q9, which ultimately stood over the rest and took a lion’s participation in the pool of prizes with a value of USD 500,000.
Delta Force Invitational included twelve teams that each qualified through qualifiers specific to the region, each of which brings their own style and strategies. The teams compete Aka, FL, FN, GS, Q9, STS, ESG, Ink, ISG, Leg, MBA and MG. Throughout the weekend, fans witnessed everything, from carefully performed hiding operations to explosive final thrusts.
The tournament began with a group stage, in which each team competed for a place in the upper or lower compartment. FN, Q9, GS, MBA, ESG and ink provided good results that placed them in the upper brackets, while FL, Aka, STS, Noga, MG and ISG were in the lower compartment, in the face of the pressure of elimination early.
At the bracket stage, the competition intensified. During the upper turn to turning 1, Q9 and MBA were the first teams that advanced to the grand finale, while ESG, GS, Ink and FN were pushed into the upper turn 2. Meanwhile in the lower turn turnover 1, FL and legs were eliminated, while STS and MG directed to the upper turn 2, and ISG and aka down to the bottom zone. The knots narrowed.
During the upper turn 2, ESG and FN, we managed to advance to the grand finale, while GS, STS, Ink and Mg fell to the lower turn 2 to get the last shot in victory. In the twist of the lower bracket, the voltage reached the peak. Attacks and MG fought in the grand finale, while Aka, STS, ISG and GS were eliminated after a demanding run.
Before the grand finale, fans in the Hangzhou Esports Center were treated with a spectacular opening show that enlivened the game. The scene came to life with characters, tanks and combat scenes inspired by Delta Force, immersing the audience in action before she ended with the iconic Dawn song, sung by lithium ready.
Q9 gave the tone in the first round of the grand finale thanks to the performance led by Guor, who won the MVP distinction with 2 killings, 2 assists and 205 damage. But the competition quickly warmed up in the second round, when the ink went forward, overtaking everyone during Mandelbrick decoding. Kilzal was the star of the round, securing 6 killings and leading his team to victory.
Momentum once again changed in round 3, when Q9 regained his dominance, and K1de entered the spotlight airy as MVP. In round 4 ESG broke the display that changes in their favor. DT turned out to be unstoppable, gaining 5 killings to apply for MVP. Round 5 saw how Q9 refused to withdraw, caught the last Mandelbrick, and K1de won his second MVP in the series.
Entering round 6, it was to play everything. Q9 secured the main position early and began to decod Mandelbrick, forcing the other teams to seek opening. None of them could break, and after decoding Q9 closed themselves in the Invitational victory. But the map clock was still ticking, leaving space for shock in the classification, and it was the ink to survive the longest, collecting key resources to provide second place.
Delta Force Invitational has proved how much momentum the competitive scene of the game is building. Along with the victory, Q9 made a claim to the main prize in Delta Force Esports, but the question is who will be created next to their own moment. Delta Force Global League season 3 will start next month.
