Cookie Run: Kingdom is one of the best games out there, and for good reason. It combines the more detailed, numerical details of an ARPG with an undeniably charming and aesthetically pleasing confectionery style. And their upcoming update is set to improve it even more; that’s a good thing, considering the recent controversy.
Now, for the first time, I can confidently say that I am doing a public service by spreading this update. Especially since Cookie Run Social Media for some reason insists on using probably the longest image in the world to explain what is being added. So, the additions are as follows:
- Wind Archer Cookie: A modern character with an exclusive costume, Resplendent Wind Guardian. You will be able to recruit Wind Archer by collecting Spirits of Nature.
- New treasures: Adventurer’s Cape and Glittering Twilight Crown.
- New item: Wind
- More coming soon: Elements of the next update were also revealed, such as the return of the Hanbok costumes.
Sweet as sugar
Honestly, I was surprised to see Cookie Run: Kingdom grow from a series that originally started out compact to one that borders on a high fantasy ARPG. The wonders of mobile gaming, eh? Devsisters has definitely had mixed feelings this year, with many fans seemingly clamoring for modern, more player-friendly content. Hopefully, the debut of Wind Archer and the upcoming changes to the guild combat system will live up to those expectations.
