Rawiyah is one of the best Breaker characters you can get in Sword of Convallaria, and while you’ll be able to try out her kit at the beginning of the main RPG quest, you can unlock her for free later on. Although this will require you to reach at least level 30 and complete various tasks as part of the Voyage Memento event.
Luckily, these are the tasks you’ll want to complete anyway, helping to develop your units and escalate their power. So sooner or later you’ll have your own Rawiyah to build and take into battle, and she’s definitely worth the investment of your hard-earned EXP. Without further ado, here’s our Convallaria Rawiyah Sword – Team Build and Composition.
Best Sword Convallaria Rawiyah Build
Rawiyah’s passive trait, Bottoms Up, increases her DMG by 25% in Sword of Convallaria. At the start of turn or on strike back, there is an 80% chance to regain 40% HP and gain the Tipsy effect, which increases Rawiyah’s Crit by 30% and reduces her DMG taken by 10%.
The best skills to choose for Rawiyah in Sword of Convallaria are:
- Rank 1 – Co-Attack: For each ally within two cells of Rawiyah, ATK increases by 5%, up to 15%.
- Rank 3 – One More Pint!: Rawiyah recovers 60% of her lost health and gains the Tipsy effect for two turns.
- Rank 5 – Piss Off!: When Rawiyah is hit by an dynamic attack, she strikes back, dealing 70% physical damage. If she has the Tipsy effect, she knocks the target back two spaces. Can be triggered once per round.
- Rank 7 – Convallaria Sword: Leader’s Aura. For all Sword of Convallaria allies in battle, increases their ATK by 10%, their DEF by 20%, and their DMG dealt by 8%. Additionally, reduces DMG taken by 8%.
- Rank 9 – Dispersing Strike: Deals 100% physical damage and removes two side effects from the target.
- Rank 11 – Gale Spin Attack: Deals 50% AoE DMG to all enemies within a two-tile radius of Rawiyah. After dealing DMG, reduce the target’s Physical DEF by 40% for two turns. Subsequent attacks deal an additional 50% AoE DMG.
For Rank 1 skills for Rawiyah, you can choose any skill you prefer. While Toughness, which provides immunity to Injured and Dying status effects, is a good choice, Rawiyah is actually quite capable of staying healed using her trait and Rank 2 skills. As a result, we choose Co-Attack for Rawiyah, as we get more out of it, and the skill allows us to boost the ATK of Rawiyah’s nearby allies.
Our Rank 3 ability will support Rawiyah’s survivability and lend a hand her avoid the Wounded or Dying state when she needs it. Another Pint! allows the unit to heal for 60% of their HP and gain the Tipsy effect, which increases their Crit by 30% and reduces their DMG by 10%.
You can still pick up Piercing Bash if you feel like it, which allows Rawiyah to gain the Armor Piercing effect before dealing 130% damage. It’s a great single-target move if you think you can get away with not having the self-heal and guaranteed Tipsy status, but we’ll pick up other NRG-consuming moves later in Rawiyah’s skill tree.
Don’t forget that if you don’t mind investing Castalia into Rawiyah, which is worth it, you can unlock both skills if you want. Although you can only have five skills equipped at once with Sword of Convallaria, so keep that in mind before taking Rawiyah into battle.
Our Rank 5 ability is basic to pick, and Screw Off! allows Rawiyah to strike back at an opponent who hits her with an dynamic attack. This attack deals 70% physical damage, and if Rawiyah is Tipsy, it will also knock them back two spaces. While this can only be triggered once per round, Rawiyah’s ability to knock characters back can always be useful to protect her team from too much damage.
The alternate ability, Guardian’s Heart, works similarly, but doesn’t allow Rawiyah to knock back enemies, so we don’t choose it.
For Rank 7, we chose the Leader’s Aura Sword of Convallaria skill because it will be very beneficial to our entire team, provided we bring other units from the Sword of Convallaria faction with us (which we plan to do). This skill allows Rawiyah to buff all faction allies in battle, increasing their ATK by 10%, their DEF by 20%, their DMG dealt by 8%, and reducing their DMG taken by 8%.
When choosing a Rank 9 skill, you can choose the one you prefer, as both attacks work similarly, dealing 100% physical damage with different side effects. Fatal Attack will boost Rawiyah’s Crit by 15%, while Dispelling Strike can dispel two buffs from an enemy unit, which is valuable. Here I would recommend checking what units you plan on bringing to fight Rawiyah, and if you have a buff cleanser or debuffer, choose Fatal Attack. If you don’t, choose Dispelling Strike.
Last but not least, we chose Gale Spin Attack as Rawiyah’s final ability. It’s an AoE attack that affects all enemies within a two-tile radius, and if used more than once in a battle, it deals double damage after the first employ. That’s not all, because the attack also reduces the Physical DEF of enemy targets it touches by 20%, so the rest of your units can finish them off quickly.
The alternative, Legacy of Comrades, allows Rawiyah to essentially revive a dead character with 30% of their HP, as well as greatly buffing them for three turns. This is useful because it essentially gives us a second chance with any of our units if they get killed prematurely, but ultimately you don’t want to rely on this ability that may not always be needed. Gale Spin attack all the way!
Rawiyah band line-up
When it comes to team building in Sword of Convallaria, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, when it comes to story content and other events, you may not always employ or need the same team. Different enemies and different maps will require different units on the field.
For example, if there are a lot of enemy Breakers, you’ll want to bring a few Seekers with you to counter them. Alternatively, you might need more physical attackers than magical attackers in some cases, or you might need more than one ranged attacker to deal with the various barrels and vines on the map.
A good rule of thumb is to try to take at least one tank, one healer, and the DPS units that the battle requires. If you can team up units from the same faction for extra buffs, that’s even better, but that won’t always be possible.
With that out of the way, Rawiyah is primarily a member of the Sword of Convallaria faction, but is also part of the Iria and Alacrity factions. The Sword of Convallaria faction is mostly made up of Legendaries, making it arduous to build a full team out of them. That said, you do get Faycal, Maitha, and Rawiyah for free, which is a good start for a Sword of Convallaria team!
Maitha is a fantastic Defender and Faycal is a great ranged attacker, so with Breaker Rawiyah already, the team is off to a good start. If you have someone like a magical attacker, Beryl, or a dedicated healer, Inanna, you’ll have an amazing team to employ.
Alternate healers you might want to consider include Angel, another F2P character from the Papal States faction with a good range of useful healing abilities. There are also Nightingale and Flare who both have healing abilities in their kit that you can employ, but Angel is probably the best free healer in the game right now.
Other Sword of Convallaria units worth considering include Seeker NonoWill and Destroyer Momo, as well as the slightly more accessible epic, Breaker Stormbreaker. Alternatively, if you plan on using Faycal, Maith, and Rawiyah, you can bring two units from another faction. Miguel and Col pair well together, as do Divine Grace and Blade, but you can choose any units you like to employ to lend a hand you face your enemies on the battlefield.
How to Unlock Raiyah in Sword of Convallaria
If you want to find out how to unlock Raiyah as a character in Sword of Convallaria, luckily it does not require any Summoning and you can get her for free as you progress through the game.
To do this, you’ll need to complete various Voyage Memento quests. You can find these in the main menu under the “Voyage Memento” tab and they’re made up of different phases, each with a set of progression-based challenges and a relatively good reward, such as a recent character or a free summon.
Once you complete enough quests to complete Phase 5 of the challenge, which you can do after completing Chapter 3 of the Fool’s Journey and reaching at least level 30, you’ll be rewarded with Raiyah as a playable character!
