A few weeks ago, Christofer Sundberg’s Liquid Swords studio revealed Samson, showing off a brutal open-world game set in the town of Tyndalston. The main story has Samson buried in a mountain of debt, so he must take on various jobs to pay them off or face the consequences. Now there is a fresh FAQ about Samson, the key points of which are that the story is about 10 hours long, but it may take about 25 hours to explore everything, and the game will come to consoles but after the PC launch.
The Frequently asked questions about Samson also confirmed that the game is scheduled for release in early 2026 and will cost $24.99. There is no multiplayer or microtransactions, and Samson is a single-player title. Localization will be implemented and different languages will be introduced continuously, but this will only apply to text as voices will not be localized. For gameplay purposes, players will be able to unlock fresh perks, but will not have the standard weapon loadout. Instead, objects from the environment can be picked up and used for combat, while vehicle combat will also be massive and a key part of the game. Just Cause, the series credited with creating Christofer Sundberg, had some influence, but not in the cluttered and stupid sense. It will be much more established and the results may be unpredictable. You can drive any car in the game, but you will not be able to drag civilians out of their vehicles. Instead, stealing parked cars seems to be a way to get a fresh ride, although it will attract attention. Each vehicle will have its own driving style, which will then be useful for different playstyles.
According to the FAQ, the city will also respond to Samson’s actions. Says, “. The same goes for police chases. “Law enforcement is something to be respected. The chases are intensifying, the pressure is mounting, and mistakes matter. The goal is suspense, not spectacle in itself.”
The minimum PC specifications for Samson have also been confirmed and are as follows:
- Operating system: Windows 11
- Editor: 6 cores
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 20-series or AMD 60-series card
- Storage: 15 GB of free space
