Clock Tower: Rewind is coming to the West two days before Halloween

Original by Hifumi Kono from 1995 Clock Tower The game finally comes to the US, and two days earlier than in Japan. WayForward Clock Tower: Scroll Revival is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC in North America and Europe on October 29, 2024.

Aside from those who have played the ROM or watched Shinya Arino face horrors, CX Gaming Centermost western gamers likely first encountered the series on PlayStation. The WayForward update takes the Super Famicom classic and breathes fresh life into its creepy corridors. The original gameplay is still intact, as are the graphics and sound, but there are now some quality of life improvements in the mix along with additional features.

This fresh content can be found in Rewind mode. There’s a fresh animated intro, as well as features like save states, undo (hey, it’s in the title!), a music player, an art gallery, and vocal songs by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Emi Evans. There’s also the aforementioned Clock Tower Commercial Sampler demo for a chilly piece of video game history. You can see how it’s shaping up in a recent gameplay video:

It’s very fitting that Japan gets it on October 31st, but two days early isn’t bad. Either way, it’s the perfect time of year to spend it running around like crazy in front of Scissorman.

Apart from Clock Tower update, WayForward has set a release window for River City Girls 2‘S Double Dragon DLC. Bimmy and Jimmy will join the brawl this fall, which is a slight delay from the original summer plans.
