The update will include a up-to-date environment for experts to explore, full of up-to-date enemies and “surprises to discover.” New challenging boss fights, costumes, and text and UI locations are also included. In a video interview with Polygon, COO and producer Francois Meurisse mentioned that PC “handheld compatibility” will be included as part of the update.
The announcement also included up-to-date works before the update. It shows a variety of children’s toys, including an Esquie figure sprawled on the wooden floor. Those who have delved deep into the game will surely notice some Easter eggs within.
“The response to our game has been incredible. We spent years working on our dream project and to know that it has resonated with fans around the world in such a powerful way is both wonderful and overwhelming,” Broche said in a statement. “We are so grateful to our fans for their love of the world we have created, for sharing their own fan art and music covers, for wearing their best Baguette cosplays to conventions, and for being incredibly supportive of our game.”
Sandfall and Kepler also revealed Clearly Vague: Expedition 33 reached another sales milestone. Since its April release, it has now sold over 5 million copies across various platforms. Its soundtrack has also racked up the numbers, with over 333 million (of course) track streams across platforms. It spent “over 10 weeks at number one on the Classical & Classical Crossover album charts during that time, and even reached number 1 on the iTunes Top 100 Albums chart in nine different countries.”
• New playable environment, transporting Expedition 33 characters to a completely up-to-date location with up-to-date enemy encounters and surprises to discover.
• Challenging up-to-date boss battles for late-game players.
• New costumes for each expedition member, giving even more customization options for players during their adventure.
• New text-based and UI game localizations in Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19.
• Plus, there are even more surprises to come.
