Chris from Resident Evil Redfield is a name that any horror game fan knows, as he is one of the two playable antagonists in Resident Evil, the 1996 horror godfather. Who is Chris from Resident Evil?
How much time do you have? Seriously, Chris is an crucial character in many Resident Evil games.starting with the original events that take place at the infamous Spencer Manor. After that terrible night, Chris helps his sister in Resident Evil Code Veronica X as Albert Wesker makes his presence known once again.
Speaking of Wesker from Resident Evil, Chris is the one who literally slams a boulder into a volcano in Resident Evil 5 (one of the few reasons we want a Resident Evil 5 remake). Although I can understand why, since Wesker was using the gem to control Jill Valentine, forcing her to fight her friend. Thankfully, Redfield not only defeats the villain, but also saves his friend, with the support of Sheva from Resident Evil.
Chris also has a campaign in the much-disliked Resident Evil 6, though that’s followed by a welcome visit to Louisiana as he shows up at the end of Resident Evil Biohazard, where he has his own bit of DLC, chasing Lucas Baker. This all leads us nicely into Resident Evil Village, where he seems to be working against Ethan from Resident Evil.
Of course, that’s not true, as Chris is in the village to put an end to the evil that’s going on there. Honestly, much like with Wesker, there’s so much to unpack with Chris Redfield.
What is Chris Redfield’s personality?
Chris Redfield is faithful to a fault and is always willing to support his friends. However, any bit of innocence and faith he had in the world died years ago in the Spencer mansion. Redfield is more than capable of making tough decisions.
As much as he wants to support, he can walk away if he has to (though there’s no way he’d give up Claire or Jill, he’d die for those two). But make no mistake, he still cares deeply about what happens to innocent people. Chris Redfield is a good guy, and it’s a shame there aren’t more real versions of him.
