Activision and Treyarch have released a gameplay reveal trailer for Black Ops 6 Zombies and the Terminus map, and there’s plenty of zombie combat in there. Also, a speedboat, intriguingly… The Liberty Falls map reveal will happen on August 28 during Call of Duty: Next.
If there’s one thing Activision wants you to know about this game mode, it’s that it’s “round-based,” just like all of its zombie modes were before last year’s Modern Warfare 3 made it completely open-world. It wasn’t a particularly popular move, so Activision is backtracking almost as quickly as it did when the reaction to COD: Infinite Warfare made “boots on the ground” the only thing anyone ever said about Call of Duty: WWII.
As shown in the footage, the Terminus map is set in the Philippine Sea at a remote U.S. Navy base turned CIA facility turned underground lab. When the Requiem crew is released from prison, they discover ongoing biological research under Project Janus and must begin to dismantle it.
Treyarch says it’s worth choosing Grigory Weaver, Elizabeth Grey, Mackenzie “Mac” Carver, and Maya Aguinaldo as player characters to fully experience the game’s story.
The return to a round-based format means the return of almost all of the core elements of the zombies mode. There’s a main quest to complete and a puzzle to solve across multiple trials and explorations, but there’s also a ton of side content to discover with a ton of Easter eggs to discover. It all leads up to (if you survive) a point where you have to get out.
When it comes to character development, both pre-match and in-game, the perk systems, weapons and equipment, skills to improve your character in the field, as well as basic elements such as bonuses, extra blows, ammo modifications and much more are back.
You’ll want to operate everything you’ve got to take down the modern upside-down spiders known as Vermin, the flying parasites, the newly armored Manglers, and the dreaded Amalgam

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25. It will also be available on Game Pass tiers with day one games.
