CD Projekt confirms The Witcher 3 “One More Patch” until 2026

The CD Projekt delayed the planned patch for Witcher 3, which was set to add interitform support on the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S this year.

The studio announced a patch for later in 2025 as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3. “For the first time creating, sharing and enjoying mods for Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be easier and more accessible than ever,” said CD Projekt.

However, In the recent updateCD Projekt said that the patch changed to 2026, without the release window. “We apologize for the delay and we will share more details when we are approaching the release,” said CD Projekt. “Thank you for your patience!”

CD Projekt described the update as “one more patch” for Witcher 3, which remains extremely popular and maintains a robust number of players even now, a decade after launching.

Witcher 3 now has an amazing 60 million copies soldThe number including the sale of the basic game and the Gothic version, but excludes expansion sold separately. It is close to overtaking the latest number of sales for The Bethesda The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This is a reference to Witcher 4which is currently in full production, but will not be available only in 2027 at the earliest.
