A miniature teaser posted today on the official Call of Duty account revealed both the crossover and the Season 5 release date, but didn’t provide details on what exactly the crossover will involve.
Towards the end of the trailer, we see silhouettes of several wrestlers, although it’s unclear who exactly they are. However, the lack of details hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. The community has been speculating: Will we get skins for wrestlers like Roman Reigns? Cody Rhodes? Seth Rollins? Rhea Ripley? John Cena? There are a lot of stimulating possibilities here. And for now, it’s unclear if a wrestling ring will appear in the trailer, and if so, how.
This is the first real information fans have gotten about the plans for Call of Duty Season 5, but Warzone just received a patch earlier this month that included some nerfs to certain weapons. It also appears that based on data mining, a Deadpool & Wolverine crossover event is in the works, following the Fallout and Gundam crossovers just last month.
Schedules for each season are typically released about a week before it begins, so you can expect more detailed information about WWE on Call of Duty and Season 5 as a whole soon.
