The next update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is now live, bringing with it an additional nerf to that troublesome Recon special feat and a dedicated 10v10 Moshpit playlist.
Treyarch pulled back the curtain on the November 8 update entry on your website today we’re revealing a smaller patch that addresses some of the issues players have been struggling with since launch. However, the arrival of the 10v10 playlist may cause the most froth, as it offers larger lobbies on many of Black Ops 6’s multiplayer maps. Included in the map list is Nuketown, a map that is already notoriously tumultuous in 6v6 matches, so expect even more mayhem when you jump into a 10v10 match. While the standard Nuketown 24/7 playlist option will remain, fans can now enjoy a recent Stakeout 24/7 playlist.
Another highlight is the additional nerf to Recon that has taken place a common complaint among players for weeks. The skill combo bonus gives players several advantages in combat, including the ability to briefly see enemies through walls after respawning. The effect previously lasted for as long as two seconds, with many comparisons being made between it and unofficial cheats such as wallhacks. It didn’t take long for Treyarch to reduce this time to just 1.5 seconds, and as promised, it’s been reduced to just one second in today’s patch.
Multiplayer players will notice that they can no longer leave the map in the Lower Town, which comes with other, more general changes to stability and XP gain rates. Zombies have also received a number of fixes, including fixes for several bugs and a patch for the Tactical Raft exploit that was used to lift the vehicle into the air on Terminus.
Today’s Black Ops 6 patch is less than a few others we saw last weekbut that’s only because Treyarch is close to going under a giant update to Season 1 next week. We learned more about the inaugural season of content just yesterday, with the team promising more multiplayer maps, Zombies additions, and a revamped Warzone next week. Even more goodies are coming in the future with the mid-season refresh, and ranked play is also coming later this month.
