Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 looks like to omit the Nintendo Switch 2 during the premiere, despite the “binding 10-year legal agreement of Microsoft” to introduce Call of Duty to the Nintendo platform.
In 2023, as part of his pursuit of an activation takeover of Blizzard by the courts, Microsoft promised to publish the Future Call of Duty Games “with full parity of functions and content” on Nintendo platforms on the same day as Xbox.
According to the agreement, Nintendo owners will be able to “experience Call of Duty, just like Xbox and PlayStation players, they enjoy call of duty,” said Microsoft at the time. Call of Duty has not been available at Nintendo since 2013 Call of Duty: Ghosts for Wii U.
However, according to a reliable forthright Billbil-Cun (via via Dealabs), Black Ops 7 is to be released on November 14, 2025 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Now Black Ops 7 can finally run on Switch 2, but based on this there will be no up-to-date Nintendo console next to Xbox.
In June, following the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, both Activision and Nintendo, they are working on how long franchise of scorers from the first person on the switch. In a statement issued by IGN, Activision said that Nintendo was still working on introducing Call of Duty to change: “We are involved in a franchise on Switch. Both teams are working on it. They will share details when they are ready.”
Meanwhile, Billbil-Kun said that the Xbox versions would receive a physical version taking into account the disk, unlike the last Microsoft Xbox games.
As for the price, Black Ops 7 apparently costs 79.99 euros, which suggests in July 69.99 USD in the USA, Microsoft announced that he will not sell Obsidian’s Outer Worlds 2 – or none of his holiday games – for 80 USD after the initial announcement of video plans above 70 USD. The expectation was that Black Ops 7 will therefore bring USD 70, and based on the Billbil-Kun report, it will really be.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be revealed live on August 19 during the live opening evening in Gamescom. We’ll find out more.
