Warning: the following contains spoilers for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
Bad news for everyone. If you wanted to be at the top of the list of the hardest bosses to defeat in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, you’re going to have to do a lot to top what one streamer just did to our good buddy Messmer.
No, don’t worry, we’re not telling you that that hitless saxophone run we reported starting the other day has somehow already been completed. Instead, this is another lesson in Elden Ring mastery from someone who already blasted through the DLC using a dance mat, presumably because he got kicked out of the local Zumba class for being too good at it.

You may have heard of MissMikkaa by now. In addition to her “regular” dance mat runs like the one in the DLC we mentioned, she also has a thing for taking down Elden Ring bosses in two different ways at once, because multitasking is an critical skill to develop, yo.
I’ll get to the point. Her latest achievement is defeating Messmer on PC and PS5 at the same time (thanks, GamesRadar). It’s like she’s playing two copies of the game on both devices at the same time – one via the dance pad (obviously) and one via the controller – and she’s come out on top in both fights with the snake boy she’s controlling at the same time. That’s okay, I don’t know what to think about that either.

Because Miss Mikkaa survived “3 streams8 hours and 136 attempts” to do this, I think I’ll settle for just being impressed, because honestly their continued dedication to FromSofting, for lack of the right word, scares me.
If people like Messmer and Malenia, you know, the real-life demigods, have to hide from the streamer, how will the rest of us cope if, God forbid, she turns her dance mat and controller on us one day? I know we’re not video game characters, but it’s still something that keeps me up at night.
If you’re still struggling with Shadow of the Erdtree and need a little aid, first of all, I’m really sorry that I’ve probably made you feel as bad about Elden Ring as I did. Check out our wide range of guides that should aid you out, no matter what you need aid with.
