Nintendo recently began to accept orders for Switch 2 games through its online store, coinciding at the opening of the switch 2 console in the presale. Some sizes of Switch 2 game files are larger than I expected, closer to the size to the counterparts of Windows PC than the original switch ports.
This makes sense, considering that the upcoming Nintendo console is powerful enough to run games at 1080p and, apart from the rapid number of frames per second. And yet it will only take a handful of games to completely fill the built -in switch memory 2 256 GB. Here are some sizes of files of the upcoming ports of Switch 2:
All these games together in just over 300 GB – now you need a microSD express card.
You can seem to be nuts to buy additional space for the console that you do not yet have, but we think that it is wise to grab the largest microSD Express card, which you can afford to operate in switch 2. They are much faster (and more high-priced) compared to microSD cards used in a switch and other devices such as steam deck. Note: Your ancient microSD cards will not be compatible with Switch 2 for anything, buying screenshots and video clips that you intercepted on the original switch.
