Number fresh exotics were introduced in Revenant, Destiny 2‘S. From the first act, there are at least three exotic armors and two weapons. And while there could always be an exotic surprise, we know for a fact that an exotic mission will be available at some point during Revenant – likely in Act 3, like in Echoes.

Including Destiny 2: Revenant Guide. In this episode, we’ll walk you through each of the fresh Exotics and how to get them. We’ll update this guide throughout the episode if and when fresh exotics are released.

Alethonym is a uncommon type of exotic grenade and is only the second major munitions breaching grenade launcher in history. It also deals stationary damage, meaning it is in the top slot while the other main grenade launcher, the Fighting Lion, is in the energy slot.

Alethony’s primary exotic perk is Reaper Spikewhich causes murders with this weapon to generate traces. More powerful enemies create more traces. Absorbing a Trace allows you to activate its additional perk, Residual alchemy. Once you have acquired enough traces to charge 50% of your residual alchemy bar, you can special reload so that your next shot creates a special ammo brick for you and your allies. At 100% energy you can create a bulky block instead.

Alethonym is the Exotic Season Pass, available immediately to Revenant owners. For free-to-play players, you’ll need to upgrade the Season Pass to Rank 40. The Catalyst will become available to Alethonym later in the episode.

Exact specifications for the return of the Icebreaker – the beloved exotic sniper rifle from the original Destiny – are not yet known, as Vesper’s Dungeon of Hosts from which it comes, will only be available on October 11. However, based on the recent developer stream, we know a little about how the weapon works.

When you kill a non-Icebreaker weapon, you will regenerate Icebreaker ammo for up to 10 shots. Bungie also teased that the fresh version of Icebreaker will have some type of interaction with Stasis.

Like all exotic dungeons, the Icebreaker is a random drop from the final boss of Vesper’s Host.
