BLGS is a mid-season series for the ALGS, organized by NiceWigg and Greek, who run the ALGS B-streams. As we approach the ALGS Year 4 Championship in Japan in 2025, we have a huge gap to fill. The last ALGS Year 3 event, Worlds, took place in September 2023.

Having these LAN events close together creates a bottleneck. Fans want to be at the best possible event and don’t have the time or money to take a vacation to attend every single one. That’s why they wait until Worlds if they have to choose just one to attend.

Moving the ALGS Year 4 Championship to 2025 creates a void that fans want to fill, and BLGS is doing just that. You can watch it at home on ALGS YouTube AND Cramp channels and enjoy them just like the LQC which takes place before the Championships.

I really wanted this event to happen so I could have something I could watch at home with my kids. LANs are great, but they are such substantial trials that you feel like you can’t miss a second. BLGS will be a lot more relaxed, with a wider range of teams on the roster, and I can’t wait to see how it goes.
