Bleach: Rebirth of Souls Announced for PS5, PS4, and Yes, It’s an Arena Fighter

Despite its overall popularity, Bleach has always been very underrepresented in video games — especially when compared to games like Naruto AND One piece. That’s all set to change with Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, though. This adaptation, recently announced at Anime Expo 2024, covers a lot of the source material, right up to the Arrancar arc.

It’s classified as an action game, but from what we’ve seen, it’s basically an arena brawler with a story mode. The gameplay revolves around turning the tide of battle with devastating blows — just like in the manga and anime.

Rebirth of Souls is being developed by longtime Japanese studio Tamsoft, which has worked on a huge number of projects over the years. It is most recently known for the Senran Kagura games, but also had a hand in 2021’s Melty Blood: Type Lumina.

The reveal trailer is a bit sketchy, and a release window isn’t yet known, so we’re assuming a 2025 release. We’ll no doubt see more of it in the relatively near future.
