Black Myth Wukong: How to Unlock More Trivia Slots

Want to unlock additional Oddity Slots in Black Myth: Wukong? Curios are artifacts in Black Myth: Wukong that provide vital buffs to the Destined One. At the start of the game, you’re confined to just two inventory slots for these powerful tools, which can feel limiting. Halfway through the adventure, you’ll have the opportunity to unlock an additional Curio slot, but only if you play your cards right.

If you can’t wait to equip some extra Singularities and take your ape hero to fresh heights, here’s what exactly you need to do to unlock more Singularity Slots in Black Myth: Wukong.

How to Unlock the Third Trivia Slot in Black Myth: Wukong

To augment your curiosity size from two to three, you need to be Chapter 3 Black Myth: Wukong and do the following:

  • Find Chen Loong and complete his quest to receive the Ruyi Scroll.
  • Enter the Painted Kingdom and speak to the blacksmith Yin Tiger.
  • Challenge the Yin Tiger and defeat him in combat.
  • Talk to Yin Tiger again to unlock the “Equip More Oddities” option.

Chen Loong can be found near the “Northern Shore of Bitter Lake” Guardian Shrine in Chapter 3. Head north along the lake shore from the Shrine, past the rocks that border the waves until you come across Chen Loong in the water, near a nearby hut. Once you defeat this agile dragon boss (watch out for his lightning attacks), he becomes a fairly amiable, if more than a little dour, NPC.

Chen Loong tasks you with finding Xu Dogmedicine vendor you should have met in Chapter 2, and he brings you resurrection pills to ease his suffering. Go to the nearest Sanctuary and teleport to the “Cellar” Sanctuary located in the Temple of the Crouching Tiger. Talk to Xu Dog and he will give you Specially made bone strengthening granulate deliver to Chen Loong.

If you’ve never met Xu Dog, you’ll need to track him down and complete a petite mission to get him to appear in the basement. You can first find him near the “Village Entrance” shrine in Yellow Wind Ridge at the beginning of Chapter 2. You’ll need to jump off the path leading to the village, explore the ditch under the wooden bridge, and go through the tunnel. There, you’ll encounter a lurking Xu Dog who asks you to retrieve medicine swallowed by a nearby giant frog Lang-Li-Guhh-BawThe boss fight begins, and once you win, Xu Dog becomes your companion for life.

Once your business with Xu Dog is over, take the Specially Crafted Bone-Strengthening Pellet back to Chen Loong, who will give you a Ruyi Scroll as a gift. This scroll teleports you to the Painted Realm, which acts as a gateway to Zodiac Villagehub for various NPC merchants you meet throughout your journey. The main NPC you want to talk to to unlock more trivia is Yin Tigera high blacksmith who would gladly take up the challenge posed by a good rival.

How to Unlock the Fourth and Fifth Trivia Slots in Black Myth: Wukong

You can unlock two additional Singularity Slots in Black Myth: Wukong by finishing the game and starting a fresh game using Start a fresh cycle option on the main menu. This is New Game + mode and each time you complete the above steps and defeat Yin Tiger, a fresh trivia slot will appear, up to a maximum of five.
