There are so many basic weapons in Warframe that it is arduous to choose and decide which ones to build and apply. As someone who played Warframe Since this is a closed beta, let me give you a diminutive list of the best primary weapons you’ll need to round out your arsenal.
The strongest primary weapon in Warframe
Every weapon on this list is a force to be reckoned with in terms of raw destructive power and versatility among the Steel Path. These are weapons designed to destroy all enemy Tenno and have little to no downsides in this crusade. They are not listed in any particular order because, like everything else in Warframethere are always nuances of situations where one can outperform the other. However, know that no matter which one you choose, you can’t go wrong.
Felarx
Starting off robust, we have the Felarx, a unique Incarnon weapon that can transform from a powerful shotgun to a pair of bounty-hunting pistols on command. Unlike most weapons in WarframeFelarx can be customized with several add-ons that radically change its overall functionality, making it powerful in a variety of scenarios depending on your preferences.
Nataruk
Nataruk is the most powerful and destructive bow in the world. Warframeand it’s a completely free weapon that you can earn by simply playing the story. Like all bows, the Nataruk has access to charged shots, and those shots do incredible damage on their own. However, what’s unique to it is that firing the Nataruk’s charged shot at the right time rewards you with scaling burst damage that’s practically unmatched anywhere else. If that’s not enough, the Nataruk has a very high base damage, allowing its uncharged shots to do even impressive damage, and it has infinite ammo start.
Imagine Bramma
Just because the Nataruk is the best doesn’t mean it’s the only bow to make it onto this list. Introducing the Kuva Bramma, a Kuva Grineer-style tech bow that literally fires explosive rockets at high speeds. These rocket shots are Blast-type, allowing for a variety of elemental effects to be triggered. This is especially beneficial due to its acquisition method, which grants an additional elemental damage bonus depending on the frame you used to acquire it.
Kuva Bramma has highest base damage of all bowsmaking it technically the bow with the most numbers attached on paper. The only real downside to using this bow is its incredibly impoverished ammo economy, which is a major issue in longer missions without the aid of ammo packs or Protea’s Dispensary ability.
Early
There are many shotguns available for you to apply Warframebut among the most powerful is the fully automatic Cedo. This shotgun has the unique ability to fire an explosive glaive with secondary fire. This glaive has one of the highest percentages of status chance of all weapons, and for good reason. The Cedo makes a thunderous 60% more damage for each unique status effect on an enemy. This makes Cedo deal an insane amount of damage, provided you can deal multiple statuses at once. This is crucial because Cedo has low base damage to compensate for its insane ramp-up potential.
Tenat’s Plasma Sculpture
There isn’t much to say about this incredibly popular weapon. While classified as a shotgun, the Tenat Arca Plasmor functions more like an energy cannon, unleashing devastating blasts at close range. Due to the way it is acquired, much like the Kuva Bramma, it will always have one additional elemental damage bonus depending on the frame used to acquire it, on top of the innate Radiation damage.
Ignis’ Specter
Ignis Wraith could be a veteran Warframe arsenal, but don’t let its age fool you—this flamethrower still burns vivid with pure, devastating power. Its innate heat damage unleashes a torrent of flames in a wide area of effect (AoE), scorching anything in its path. Its continuous fire comes with a high status chance, making it a scorching choice for melting enemy ranks. The versatility of heat allows it to be combined with other elements, turning this weapon into a powerful tool for incinerating a variety of enemies. Additionally, its uncomplicated deployment has earned it a place as a beloved favorite among players of all stripes.
Coffin
The Coffin is the result of combining a high-capacity machine gun that fires explosive rounds with a bouncing, explosive grenade launcher. This insane combination results in a death machine that can tear through hordes of enemies of all kinds with ease. The only real downside is that it requires a costly, time-consuming grind, as it requires you to earn Standing from the Entrati Family on Deimos.
To be Chakkhurr
This peculiar flintlock rifle packs a punch with explosive rounds that create a huge area of effect (AoE). Lighting up an entire room with a single shot is just another day at the office for this weapon. Despite its semi-automatic rifle mechanics, many consider it more of a launcher. The real cherry on the cake? Headshots from the Kuva Chakkhurr deal additional 50% damageinsane modifier that turns his already monstrous base damage into pure overkill. It’s literally explosive in every sense of the word.
Soma Prime
One of the oldest weapons on this list, the Soma Prime is a high-capacity machine gun that has an increased reload time as it fires. Its very high Critical Chance and Critical Hit Multiplier allow it to easily deal extreme damage at a rapid rate. Furthermore, it has an Incarnon form, similar to Felarx, which is why it belongs on this list.
