Nilou is a 5-star character from the Hydro series who plays a unique role in it. Genshin Influence. Improves Bloom’s responsiveness to the point where pure Bloom teams become not only viable, but incredibly robust. Here are the best weapons and artifacts to aid your Nilou blossom.
The best weapon for Nilou
The Key of Khaj-Nisut – Nilou’s Best Weapon Ever
The Khaj-Nisut Key is Nilou’s best weapon, providing her with a fair amount of HP and allowing her to boost her team’s Elemental Mastery. It’s an incredibly niche weapon, and due to the idiosyncrasies of Nilou’s kit, it’s the only weapon that fully synergizes with it. This means there’s a fairly noticeable difference between the Khaj-Nisut Key and Nilou’s other weapon options.
Freedom-Sworn – 5-star second choice for Nilou
If you don’t have the Key of Khaj-Nisut and don’t want to take it out, Freedom-Sworn is a good 5-star option for Nilou. She would mainly apply it for its Elemental Mastery secondary stat, but it is capable of providing buffs to party members who apply Normal, Charged, or Plunging attacks. Don’t take Freedom-Sworn out specifically for Nilou, though, as she has comparable 4-star swords available.
Nilou 4 Star Options
Dockhand’s Assistant, Xiphos’ Moonlight, Shigure Toukabou, and Iron Sting are all possible 4-star weapons for Nilou. Dockhand’s Assistant is Nilou’s best 4-star sword, but any of the Elemental Mastery swords will work as well. Iron Sting has the advantage of being freely available, as it can be crafted at any blacksmith using Blanks.

Nilou’s Best Artifact Sets
4 pcs. Paradise Lost Flower
Lost Paradise Blossom is technically Nilou’s best Artifact set dealing Blossom damage. Her 2pc effect grants her Elemental Mastery, while her 4pc effect directly boosts her Bloom damage. These combined buffs cause Nilou’s Blooms to explode, dealing significant damage. While the 4pc Flower of Paradise Lost does the most damage to Nilou teams, it’s not much better than the 2pc combos below. You should choose your artifact build based on the domains you want to farm.
2pc HP and Elemental Mastery Combos
Nilou only cares about two stats: max HP and, to a lesser extent, Elemental Mastery. Her unusual build makes 2-piece HP and Elemental Mastery combos very competitive with her top 4-piece build. Combining 2 pcs. Vourukash’s Radiance and 2 pcs. Millelith’s Tenacity gives Nilou an extra 40% HP. You can also add a 2-piece set which will give you the Elemental Mastery boost, although the HP/HP 2-piece set combo is better than the HP/EM one.
Artifact stats to prioritize for Nilou
Nilou doesn’t need Energy Recharge at all. Casting her Burst applies two Hydro instances to enemies, potentially giving you two extra Blooms per turn. In the grand scheme of things, those two Blooms aren’t that critical, and Nilou’s raw Hydro damage isn’t that significant either. It’s perfectly fine to just ignore Energy Recharge and cast Nilou’s Burst when you have it handy.
Nilou should focus solely on HP and Elemental Mastery stats. Prioritize HP until she reaches around 74,500 HP. This monstrous HP stat is usually only achievable with HP weapons, full HP artifacts, and a Hydro teammate for Hydro Resonance. If you can reach this max HP amount (or get close), you can opt for Elemental Mastery stats.
