Be serene! Dark Mount Gaming keyboard review

I recently interrupted my friend in the middle of the flow of ancient Huntsman Razer to ask why they like keyboards so much. In addition to suppressing the sound, the shadowy unit that I review owes many of its keys of lower linear mechanical switches. In brief, comparing it to the smaller siblings, strict mounting, these switches give each keypress a charming, basic start without such a subtle elastic feedback from available touch switches.

In my Light Mount review I compared each keys on these tactile switches to a indefinite descent towards a solid ground. To operate the same metaphor, the touch switches offer some grassy reflection, while the line switches on a shadowy attachment are perhaps more similar to the dainty touching of the challenging wood floor.

The keys themselves are made of PBT, not a smoother belly feeling, although this more textured character does not divert attention from what remains great keys (when it comes to materials, PBT is a more hard, longer choice). But if neither this nor any of the above is your atmosphere, you can easily replace both edges and switch with the puller supplied in the box. As long as what you want to replace is compatible with 5-pin board sockets, you can adjust the impression of a shadowy mount.

Now let me finally turn to the nervous truck in the room: there is more than on this game keyboard. There is not much in this, with an exceptionally additional RGB lightweight bar lined on the entire outer edge of the plate, which is most significant to distinguish it from fixing lightweight at first glance.

Like this smaller keyboard, you can also adjust the brightness and view lighting profiles using shortcuts reproduced to the keys of functions and arrows, with further adjustment in the Be Quiet’s Center software. Thanks to Itty Bitty, individually configurable segments that work the entire length of the keyboard lightweight, the effect of lighting the Dark Mount foundation is a real stop.

But even with such an impressive lightweight show, this compact desk party is just beginning. By turning the main part of the keyboard, you will notice a number of additional USB-C ports. In addition to the expected USB-C port on the top edge of the keyboard for a dedicated wired connection to the computer, there are two more, and two more found on the right and left hand of the disc. They are for the two main modular attachments of Dark Mount, contained in the box.

As the modular designs of the shadowy mountain not just resemble Mountain Everest Max, but the attachment of numbers seems directly comparable – and for a reason. First of all, the modular keyboard design requires a similarly separated wrist -attached rest, thanks to which it feels much less sheltered than the detachable rest of the Light Mount hand.

Post -mass destinations available for both Numberpad and Dock Media make it a versatile keyboard – but unfortunately Dark Mount did not completely convince me about the modular keyboards. At the beginning I am fine and really converts the multimedia knob, so the low Dark Mount scrolling wheel simply does not do it for me. Low -profile media control buttons and the menu are similarly too shallow to act in a way that offers a lot of touch feedback; On a mechanical keyboard I found this strange sensory contrast.

Eight plastic buttons on NUMPAD offers slightly clickable feedback, but there is no doubt that the event below is numbered PBT keys. Despite this, these eight keys can be adjusted via the IO Center to offer various functions with one press. It’s fun, say, she put my computer to sleep or open a task manager with one click of the button. But, just like it interacts, which seemed to be a good idea at the time, but it is intended for Depop, I just don’t reach. Despite this, just because I couldn’t make this versatile keyboard not mean that you would not be able to do it easily.

Without encouraging any competition of siblings, but I preferred cheaper lightweight (even if it is not as accessible as the appropriate ancestor of the keyboard, Mountain Everest 60). Although it is nice, I left, feeling that Dark Mount attachments were very collected for my daily operate.
