Battlefield 6 update quickly fixes defibrillators after players reported stringent revival requirements

Published:

The Battlefield 6 the team has rolled back changes to the defibrillator for the support class after players reported recent difficulty resuscitating teammates.

EA and Battlefield Studios have introduced a number of fresh improvements as part of a compact update that is now available to players on PC and consoles. Details of the fix that was published in post on X/Twittercover the fix for those pesky defibrillators, as well as fixes for the fresh time-limited Sabotage game mode and changes to additional challenges.

Players took to social media to complain about defibrillators not working after yesterday’s release of the Battlefield 6 California Resistance update. While in previous versions of the game players used the Support Gadget to slide in and make last-second saves, the changes introduced by update 1.1.2.0 instead, he asked players to operate the tool slowly and precisely if they wanted to revive their friends. This only resulted in confusion as the high demands left teammates with what was perceived as a fresh bug or weird nerf with no explanation.

“At first I thought it was just a senseless reduction in coverage,” one comment he says, “but this too A lot more inconsistent and easy to get bodies into a state where defibrillation doesn’t work at all and they have to be grabbed/dragged.

“I don’t like it overall, but the second part makes me think it wasn’t intentional.”

The Battlefield 6 team didn’t explain what caused the faulty defibrillators to contaminate matches, but it looks like they didn’t like the change either. Today’s patch restores the gadget to its state before yesterday’s update, increasing hitboxes and range.

Meanwhile, in the Sabotage game mode, the AFK kick timer has been increased from 60 to 180 seconds. Bot replenishment in this mode has also been temporarily disabled and will be reintroduced in the future.

Finally, there are challenges that we have benefited from habitual corrections as BF Studios continues to refine its progression system. Today’s update to Battlefield 6 aims for clarity while reducing the requirements for some of the more tough to achieve challenges. You can see the full list of all challenge changes below.
