EA, already enjoying massive success with record franchise sales, has launched a free trial for Battlefield 6. It’s available now and runs from today, November 25, through December 2 at 4:00 a.m. PT (12:00 UTC)
To play the free trial, you’ll need to download the free Battlefield REDSEC game, which will give you access to more modes and maps in the coming week.
The Battlefield 6 free trial includes a subset of the full game’s maps and modes, emphasizing Season 1 content, and obviously excludes the single-player campaign (but you can probably skip that). Free-to-play players will be able to try Siege of Cairo, Blackwell Fields and the newly released Eastwood and try them out in modes such as Conquest, Breakthrough, Team Deathmatch and Sabotage. Of course, you also already have the free Battle Royale mode Battlefield REDSEC.
Thanks to this, there is already a cross-pollination of unlocks and levels. Everything you unlock in REDSEC can be used in the free trial, and everything you unlock in the free trial will be retained and retained if you purchase the full game.
The timing is perfect for EA to capitalize on the mistakes made by their biggest rival, with Thanksgiving weekend approaching in the US. This is a great time to try and convince more people to join this shooting game over another.
