How to defeat the Baldur’s Gate 3 Dror Ragzlin boss

The easiest way to defeat Dror Ragzlin BG3 Is push all of his goblin soldiers into the pit while your toughest characters deal with him. Make sure you always have someone ready to heal anyone who gets hit with his War Hammer of Faith. Keep his allied goblins away from him so that his Aura of Leadership does not escalate their damage output.

However, you can’t push him into the abyss if you want the magical War Hammer, Faith Breaker, or his Mind Flayer Parasite Dror Ragzlin. This will completely disappear from the fight, making it impossible to obtain his weapons and other items. Only do this if you don’t care about relegations and just want a quick win.

If you have already fought another goblin leader in Baldur’s Gate 3remember to rest before fighting Dror Ragzlin. A compact or long rest in the camp is enough. Choosing the latter, however, will allow you to regain more powerful spells and abilities. This red-skinned hobgoblin, Dror Ragzlin, is much more powerful than the other two goblin bosses. He has a whopping 75 health points and is level 5. He can deal up to 21 damage in one hit, so be careful.

Before fighting Dror Ragzlin BG3find the war drum on the right. It is located next to the stairs in the boss fight area. If you don’t destroy it immediately with an arrow or a spell, after killing Dror Ragzlin you will have to face a total of nine enemies. While this may be a fun challenge for some, it can be overwhelming for others, especially if you’ve recently fought another boss. Have someone like Astarion nearby to eliminate the drum as quickly as possible.

During the fight, try to eliminate Dror Ragzlin as quickly as possible. To do this, try using a spell that will stun him for one or two moves. I used Tasha’s Hideous Laugh on him. It’s not a guaranteed move, but if it lands, Dror Ragzlin will be prone to laughing madly. This will stagger him, leaving you with a chance to deal a lot of damage before he has a chance to say hello.

You can also perform an additional attack with Lae’zel’s Action Smash before trying to rip the hammer out of his hands with a powerful Disarming Smash. Using multiple punches in a row can really escalate his damage. Shadowheart’s wounding can also effectively lower enemy health. Its 75 HP will drop to zero in the blink of an eye.

Dror Ragzlin can also take a lot of health from your team, so try to get a healer on your team to remedy a potentially bad situation. Be careful when doing this when fighting Dror Ragzlin in Honor, as buffing allies can complicate things with his passive. Plus, you’ll want to get his minions out of the picture. Eliminating them will be quite straightforward, but just in case, you can quickly save after eliminating Ragzlin if you’re playing on one of the regular difficulty modes.

To the left, near the stairs, is a ladder that will lend a hand archers better aim at the victims below. While using them yourself is a viable strategy to defeat Dror Ragzlin and his minions, you also need to be careful that they don’t climb up and attack you. Just one push can instantly send your character to their death.

It also helps if you can get past the guards to avoid spending resources before fighting Dror Ragzlin. Every advantage counts, even if it means sacrificing initial EXP. You can always come back later and clear out any goblins you may have missed.

How to get past the guards

Once you enter the goblin prison, security will stop you at the main gate. The warrior Trinzas asks what your intentions are. There are many ways to do this. As a magic class, I could see into her mind. There is an Intelligence check, but it is quite straightforward to beat, especially if you manually save your game right before the encounter. If you lose the roll, everyone will attack you. Once you succeed, he will tell you about the True Souls that have gathered in their base.

Tell Trinzas you’re here for the True Souls and they’ll let you through. You can also exploit Subterfuge to get past the guards. This is tricky though because you’ll have to roll a 15 on the D20 dice. The first option is probably better if you don’t specialize in fraud.
