Xbox announced that it is delaying the release of Avowed from later in 2024 to February 18, 2025 to “give players some breathing room.”
Xbox shared this information on X/Twitter next to a graphic presenting all currently announced first-party games for the Xbox console.
“So many games coming! Avowed was originally set to release in fall 2024. In June, a blog post accidentally revealed a fresh date of November 12, 2024, but it was quickly removed as it was not set in stone.
Avowed received a fresh story trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase in June, followed shortly after by a 30-minute deep dive into gameplay. The lengthy gameplay showed off both first- and third-person gameplay in the world of Eora, and showed off some of the magical tools players will have access to in the RPG.
