Rebellion has confirmed the release date of its action survival game Atomfall, which is March 27, 2025. It has also been confirmed that Atomfall will be available from day one as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription. On the occasion of the premiere of Atomfall, a brand novel trailer was also released, which includes a specially composed song.
The game takes place in northern England in the 1960s. The game’s plot diverges from reality following the Windscale fire, the worst nuclear accident in British history at the nuclear power station now known as Sellafield. Following the fire’s fallout, the area was quarantined in what appears to be a grand cover-up of other mysterious events. The entire quarantine zone has fallen into disrepair, with crashed helicopters and rusted cars, while the residents of the village of Windham are monitored by the Protocol, a military group sent to manage rescue and aid operations. They are equipped with more newfangled weapons and have powerful 1950s sci-fi-style robots equipped with machine guns and flamethrowers that maintain order and patrol both the village and BARD’s abandoned underground bunkers – locations key to the discovery the secret of the game world.
