Asus Rog Dstrier Core Review

Published:

Asus Rog Destrier Core is one of the latest products that will go to the premium game market, and the company offers the basic and premium version of the chairman of the games. For the purposes of review, the company sent me the basic version of the chair to test.

Retail sales in USD 630/500 £, Core Asus ROG Destrier is a bit on the exorbitant side, but do better comfort and attitude make it worth additional costs?

First of all, let’s look at the project. The Asus Rog Dstrier core is sold as a futuristic chair of games with a cyborg project. Although it is undeniable that the chair has a certain aesthetic appeal to him compared to such as Secretlab Titan Evo, I could not resist the fact that I was a bit disappointed with his project.

However, for players who prefer a more minimalist project, Asus Rog Destrier can be perfect, while for players who prefer a flashy RGB chair, the previous entry of Asus Rog Chariot RGB looks much more.

Sure, the head cushion is unique, the game chair has a characteristic ROG logo, and the rear rocks quite a unique frame, but to tell the truth, if not for the head, I would have a problem choosing it from the line- standard office chairs.

While the project could disappoint me a little, I just can’t knock down the quality of ASUS ROG Destrara. Thanks to aluminum, inspired by a cyborg, a breathable grid and a wide range of adjustable positions that will lend a hand your position, it certainly works better than it looks.

Considering that ASUS is a relatively fresh name when it comes to gaming chairs, it is a solid chair that seems to be high quality and robust. However, there is one exception, 3D armrests that have been designed to rotate 360 degrees and are adjustable.

Thanks to the 14 cm adjustment available, ASUS stated that Destrier is designed for mobile games, because it allows for higher elbows, which facilitates comfortable playing on a mobile device. However, it is quickly noticeable that additional flexibility costs stability, and the armrests throw themselves at this place during the game, and in some cases they would even come and go to the next recess.

Asus recommends spreading the seat at the back and placing the armrests in the highest position for mobile games. Although at first it seemed to me a strange way to play games, I have to admit, in addition to annoying shaky armrests, playing on my mobile device in this position was somehow much more relaxing and convenient.

Mobile games may not be the main point of sale of Asus Rog Destrara, but it is certainly one of them, and having in mind, I would expect a much more solid system of locking armrests, enabling players to play mobile without weapons wobling or worrying about exerting too much pressure and their transfer.

So far, Asus Rog Dstrier was a mixed bag for me, it is (mainly) a solid game chair, with what I personally consider to be a uninteresting project. But if, like me, you are a slightly older player in need of an ergonomically solid game chair, this is one area where ASUS definitely has good.

The seat has no lining, because we expected most of the best gaming chairs, instead it uses a breathable suspension system from the net, which, although it can take some habits. But although at first I thought it was more uncomfortable, it grew up to me, leaving me long sessions for mine Favorite PC games I don’t have to worry about pains and pains when I finished.

A breathable mesh is something that I can’t wait for in the summer, while I generally leaning towards padded chairs, I can only imagine how chilly it would be to have a comfortable chair of the mesh in the blisters, not getting too warm and sticky.

Being a player, and also suffering from ADHD, I tend to sit in the most unusual positions during the game, and although it can be comfortable for me, my physiothemus Monk is not the best for my back.

Asus Rog Dstrier not only helped me with my back during long game sessions, but also helped improve my attitude. Due to its ergonomic design, I think it is awkward to sit in these strange and not known positions, forcing me to get a more vertical attitude, and ultimately saving me from groan in agony later.

It may seem like a negative choice of a chair, which makes sitting awkward in the way you want, but when it comes to spending hours on games, back protection is critical, and a solid ergonomic game chair such as Asus Rog Destrier can In the future, save you from great pain.

Asus also included adjustable lumbar support for ROG Destrara, which I had annoyingly challenging to adapt during the game, but when I finally found the right equalization for my back, it had a world and I hope that I would not need to adapt again.

Like lumbar support, a game chair also has an adjustable height, tilt and depth, but they were also a bit uncomfortable to reach while sitting, because they headed towards the chair. Again, after adjusting these settings, it should not be something that you need to do too often, but it would be nice to be able to make minor corrections without having to get up or bend down.

One of the most unique functions ASUS ROG Destrara is its headrest, something that I usually just ignore on most game chairs, but Destrier managed to convert a really unique and adjustable design that helps to make him one of the most comfortable chairs for games around.

Buy if …

✅ You want a convenient chair for games designed for extended game sessions: If you are a kind of player who priority treats comfort and support, the Asus Rog Dstrier core is not simply comfortable, it is great for your position.

Don’t buy if …

❌ You want gaming chairs that can be easily adapted during the game: The Asus Rog Dstrier core can be convenient, but its awkward control elements make it a nightmare to adapt the average game.

Unlike most headrests on gaming chairs, which can often be intrusive, ROG Destrier allows you to move the headrest up or down, tilt it to the right position and find a match that really matches your shape, size and posture. Until now, there was a special cemetery in my cabinet, but thanks to the flexibility offered by Headrest Dstrier, we managed to stay on the chair.

As a player pushing 40, long game sessions began to bounce on my back, which is why a game chair helps to promote a positive attitude and has decent lumbar service. But the question is: should it be a quality cost and does ergonomic mean uninteresting?

Asus Rog Dstrier indicates most of the appropriate fields when it comes to supporting my attitude and providing comfort, no matter what I play and how long I play. But there are simply many problems that are challenging to ignore, including the fact that I do not want to spray chairs for games, which, to be straightforward, can be designed and sold by IKEA. Don’t get me wrong, the chair is not even ugly, it just lacks the attractiveness of games that I got used to on newfangled games chairs, which I would expect from the basic cost of the cost USD 630/500 £.

Unfortunately, there are much more convenient chairs for games that offer equally good, if not better support for your back and attitudes for a fraction of costs, such as the Thunderx3 core. Considering this, Asus Rog Dstrier is a brave attempt to hit the ergonomic market chair market in a company that is extremely fresh in creating game chairs, leaving me hope that the company is learning from mistakes and created the highest ergonomic chair for games the nearest future .
