Apple Watch Series 10 Announced: ‘Thinnest Ever’ Apple Watch With ‘Largest Display’

Published:

The fresh Apple Watch Series 10 was announced today at Apple’s September “It’s Glowtime” event. The Series 10 is the largest Apple Watch yet, with about 30% more screen area than previous versions. The case is slightly taller, but has polished, rounded corners for a sleek look.

Despite the larger screen size, the device is about 10% thinner than the previous generation of Apple Watch. It’s also lighter – the standard aluminum version is about 10% lighter than the previous generation of Apple’s smartwatch – and the fresh version with a titanium case is also about 20% lighter.

The Series 10 has a wide-angle OLED display that Apple says is 40% brighter when viewed at an angle. It also has a faster-updating Always-On display that refreshes every second instead of every minute, allowing the second hand to keep ticking even when your hand is down.

Other fresh features include a larger speaker, allowing you to play media directly from your watch. There’s also a larger charging coil, allowing the Series 10 to restore about 80% of its battery after 30 minutes of charging.

The Apple Watch Series 10 with an aluminum case is available in black, rose gold and silver, while the titanium versions differ slightly in color.

The Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 and goes on sale September 20. Pre-orders are available on Amazon today.
