The next game from publisher Annapurna Interactive is Morsels, a quirky action roguelite coming to PS5 in February 2025. The game is being developed by Furcula, and you can see it in action in the trailer above.
Playing as a little mouse trying to fend off the attacks of menacing cats, things quickly go wrong; by collecting magic cards, you can transform into a variety of other creatures, each with their own special abilities and quirks. The game lets you switch between them at will, and you collect and upgrade these different forms as you battle through each stage.
The trailer suggests a variety of gameplay styles. While it’s primarily a top-down action game, we do see glimpses of alternate styles, which is quite intriguing.
