An open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, including full character creation, will be available soon

Monster Hunter fans will get a taste of next year’s game, Wild monster huntersCapcom announced on Wednesday that open beta testing will take place later this month. In addition to allowing players to try out one of the game’s early hunts, Wild monster hunters the beta will allow players to complete a crucial and time-consuming task: character creation.

Capcom says that character creation data from the beta will be transferable to the full version Wild monster hunters after being released, which could save some of us hours tampering with the faces and palicos of our Hunters. (The creator of Monster Hunter did something similar for Dragon Dogma 2.) Open Beta players will also have a chance to get acquainted Wild monster hunters‘ as they will take part in the hunt for Doshaguma and have the chance to try out cooperative multiplayer using the SOS flare.

Open Beta participants will also receive a special bonus for playing, including a decorative pendant for their Seikret weapon or mount and a “helpful item pack” (potions, rations, etc.) for the full game Wild monster hunters.

Open Beta pre-loading will begin on October 30 at 8:00 PM PDT. PlayStation Plus subscribers can download the game even earlier, on October 27 at 8 p.m. Polish time.

Full version Wild monster hunters will be released on February 28, 2025. To give you some peace of mind, Capcom has released a up-to-date gameplay trailer featuring the Oil Wells Pool and its deadly inhabitants, the Brutal Wyvern Rompopolo and the Tug Beast Ajarakan. Hiding beneath the pool is a mysterious monster known as the Black Flame.
