An anime adaptation of Guilty Gear Strive titled “Dual Rulers” has been announced.


Developer Arc System Works revealed Fighting for guilty equipment: dual rulers, an anime adaptation based on the hit 2021 fighting game. While there’s no release date or window in sight yet, Arc System Works says the anime is being produced by Sanzigen Studios. It’s worth noting that Sanzigen Studios is the same studio that created main character Sol Badguy’s “Find Your Way” music video for Guilty Gear Strive.

In terms of what to expect from a story perspective, Arc System Works hasn’t revealed much, though it claims Dual rulers will be at this year’s Anime Expo 2024 in July.

“Shigeru Morikawa (known for Argonavis movie: Axia) will direct”, Dual rulers announcement reads. “Others involved in the project include Guilty Gear writer Norimitsu Kaihō for series composition and Seiji Mizushima (known for Gundam 00 Mobile Suit, Fullmetal Alchemist) as cooperating producer.
