Kate Gorman, Vice President and General Manager, EA SimS, he said Diversity that it is entering a “new era” for this franchiseand does not want to replace venerable games with recent ones, forcing players to restart the game.

“We don’t want to reset your progress. So it’s not so much about the numbers in the games, but know that the future of the franchise looks more like maintaining progress, maintaining things across titles and really having a continuous experience, rather than a stop-start experience between products,” Gorman said.

EA will continue to update and improve This Sims 4while also releasing other related games, including previously announced ones Rene’s Projectwhat is not Sims 5but instead something more focused on multiplayer. The goal, it seems, is to stop replacing games with recent games and support things longer.

“We’re not working on replacing previous projects; we’re just adding to our universe,” Gorman said. “You’ll see that there are more ways to experience Simacross platforms, different ways to play, transmedia, and a lot of great offerings in that universe.”

Star Wars Jedi 3 in active development and is the end of the series

The next installment of the award-winning game from Respawn and Lucasfilm Star Wars Jedi the series is currently in development, according to EA during today’s Investor event. This will also be the end of the trilogy and series.

“Over 40 million Star Wars fans identified with Cal Kestis and his story of becoming a powerful Jedi,” said Laura Miele, president of EA Entertainment and Technology, during the event.

And that story will continue in the third game, which Miele confirmed is in active development. “Respawn is working hard to deliver the final chapter of this exciting story to players,” Miele said.

We learned a lot about another important event Battlefield game

Ahead of Investor Day, Respawn CEO and EA Studios Group CEO Vince Zampella I talked to IGN about the future Battlefield. And the crux of the matter is this: Did you like it? BF3? Well, they’re doing it again.

“I mean, if you look back at the top or the peak Battlefieldthat’s it Battlefield 3Battlefield 4 era where everything was current,” Zampella said. “And I think we need to get back to the heart of what Battlefield and it does it amazingly well, and then we’ll see what happens next.”

Zampella confirmed that the next game will see the abandonment of specialists and a return to the classic class-based system found in BF3 and older FPS games.

When can players expect the next installment? EA isn’t saying. Zampella hinted at a community testing program next year, but didn’t reveal a full release window.
