New DLC for Alan Wake II it sure is terrifying. But there’s nothing scarier than getting stuck in a confusing puzzle. These computer passwords are quite arduous. We’ve created a guide detailing how to find passwords and what passwords are.
Lake House office computer
The first computer you come across is in the main office on the ground floor of the Lake House facility. There is information there detailing that passwords must be something meaningful, not the current date, and be 6 digits long. Picking up a few context clues around the room will aid you figure this one out. Search the room and look for any text marked with a bold number. This is probably a clue.
You will find an article about the actress Hedy Lamarr and you will find the significant number 38. You will also find a document saying that Lake House will be completed on July 18th. Remember that the Doctor you work at is European, so they formatted the date as 18/07. Combine these numbers to get your password.
The password is 180738.
Sub-level 2 Computer
Deeper into the Lake House is the second floor, which contains another computer that requires some searching to access. You’ll need a Level 2 keycard to access a nearby room where you’ll find more clues. Inside there is a computer with several emails containing the information you are looking for. A special day related to the first date of two co-workers. A special day is a week from “this” Friday. “This” Friday is the first of the week starting September 14.
They also mention that the second part of the code is related to a “brown shape with horns”. Next to the terminal there is text about various images. Find the one that fits this description and check its number. Combine it with a special date.

The password is 092225
Other computers
There are still a few computers at Lake House that require a password. However, they are almost always accompanied by a sticky note with the password written on it. If you’re doing this in real life, at least consider placing the note under your keyboard rather than on your monitor.
