Look, almost everyone loves Helldivers 2, even if things have looked a little rocky a few times this year, and sometimes the best way to show it is to demand that Arrowhead fill it with crossovers. We’re not talking about official crossovers, and Arrowhead CCO Johan Pilestedt just made his personal list of ones that could be nippy in theory, and also mentioned the possibility of organizing vast PVE battles.
Before we get into his choices, it’s crucial to point out that the creator has made it clear that “these are just thoughts” and that he thinks trying them all “will dilute the IP and make it a ‘non-Helldivers’ experience.” However, it’s clear that Pilestedt has thought a lot about the potential of such things, having an “extended list of IPs I’d really like to pursue,” which he blurted out tweet.

Without further ado, here’s his list:
So as you’d expect, in your dad’s DVD collection, if he’s a guy of a certain age, you’ll find plenty of movie franchises, as well as a few other things he might like too, especially if he writes that he’s trying to kill things for Super Earth, diving into Space Marine 2. If it could be arranged, it looks like the developer agrees with one fan’s suggestion that War Bonds, which are simply an homage to these IPs, could be a nice “middle ground” option in such matters in order to avoid this potential weakening.
On a similar note, things that could be added to Helldivers 2 at some point, Pilestedt as well he replied asking one player if Arrowhead had thought about adding “mass PVE battles” with “around 20-30 players” in the same massive shooter. “Yes – it comes up quite a bit in the studio,” the creator said. “But there are limits to the engine. We’ll see what happens.”
One thing that’s coming to Helldivers 2 is a fresh update today, so be sure to check out what’s included while you dream of cooking a Xenomorph with a flamethrower.
