It wouldn’t be a Call of Duty launch without talk of huge file sizes, but Activision is looking to address those concerns with a series of updates over the next few months. One of the biggest involves separating the game’s free-to-play model War zone from the main game that will facilitate you create Black Ops 6 smaller than Modern War 3according to the publisher’s information.

While Activision has not yet revealed the game’s file size, these fresh changes will be implemented on August 21 with Season 5 Reloaded. In blog post On Thursday, it was announced that game developer Activision had outlined plans to improve textures and encourage users to download the game earlier, but War zone By default, separate downloads will have the largest impact on file sizes. Warframe is a battle royale game that is a separate, free-to-play game, so there is no reason to tie it to the latest major version of Call of Duty. It will be available to install at any time, and players can choose to download it using Black Ops 6.

The developers will also be introducing a fresh, improved texture streaming that Activision says will move older assets and content that players may not be using to a cache that is not stored directly on their device. This means that graphics may be lower quality, but a fresh setting called On-Demand High Quality Streaming will allow players to bypass this.

There are other planned updates coming before launch, including one in mid-October that will feature a fresh user interface. To make things a lot easier, Activision is encouraging players to download these updates early. The process will be slightly different for PlayStation 5 players, who will receive the update via four downloads.

This is great news for players who were hoping to jump into one of the two beta periods. One is Early Access from August 30 to September 4, while the other is available to the public from September 6 to September 9. The game is set to release on October 25 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, and will also be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass.

Hopefully this will dispel the fear that Black Ops 6 would be huge. People noticed in June that the Xbox store page listed the game as requiring a whopping 309.85 GB to download, Activision had to clarify this took into account Modern War 2 AND 3, along with War zone and all content packs. For comparison, Modern War 3 At the time of launch, the entire package had a capacity of 149 GB.
