Action RPG Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE New demo at TwitchCon

Published:

Release date November 17 Couple AND Xbox PC for the action RPG Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE is quick approaching, and to celebrate, TwitchCon in San Diego will have a booth this week where players can try out the modern demo and win special merchandise.

Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE allows you to enter the world of the extremely popular Solo Leveling series, focusing on the hero Sung Jinwoo. The game was developed for PC and consoles (console release scheduled for 2026) and features an original story along with modern adventures exclusive to the game.

If you’re not familiar with the show, it takes place in a world where people with supernatural abilities, known as Hunters, must protect humanity from an endless onslaught of monsters. Typically, Hunters’ abilities and strength levels are determined when their powers are first revealed. But Jinwoo gains a unique ability: he can get promoted. Although he starts out as a low-level Hunter, he can become more powerful as he defeats more enemies. And now he personally strives to become the strongest Hunter in the world.

It should be pretty obvious why this premise lends itself to the game, it basically already has RPG progression systems built in. Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE builds on this foundation with a skill tree that branches out into eight different career progressions. Throughout the webtoon, Jinwoo transforms into the Ultimate Shadow Monarch, and now you can experience his evolution for yourself.

As seen in the video above, Jinwoo can switch between weapons and combine basic attacks with flashy special abilities to create combos. But you can’t just attack mindlessly, you have to keep an eye on your enemies and react to their attacks and area attacks. You can perform perfectly timed parries or dodges to negate damage and unleash powerful counter-attacks to keep the pace quick and your combo meter growing.

No matter how you defeat enemies, they will leave behind loot that you can apply to craft modern weapons, including those downloaded directly from the original online tool, such as Kasaka’s Venom Fang and Demon King’s Daggers. There are several types of weapons available, and your fighting style will depend on your weapon selection and skill tree. This provides a variety of styles, much like the original story, giving you the opportunity to try out different options and figure out what works best for you.

You’ll face plenty of enemies and bosses alone, but some of them are too forceful for even the advanced Jinwoo. This is where multiplayer comes into play. You can team up in four-player co-op raids to take on commanders that series veterans will recognize, and you can also play as Jinwoo or one of the other available Hunters with your own set of unique skills.

If you want to see more, don’t miss TwitchCon, which starts on Friday, October 17 and runs until Sunday, October 19. The Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE booth is open to the public, so any personal attendee can come and try out the demo. Several popular streamers will be playing at the booth (iiTzTimmy, RDCGaming, EsfandTV, Agent00, ExtraEmilyand more). There will also be classes available at the stand, and those who complete them will be able to win exclusive gadgets.

If you can’t come in person, don’t worry. Streamers will also drop by the cabin’s streaming room to play the demo and share the gameplay with their channels. The game will be released on November 17 on Steam and Xbox PC, with a console release planned for next year.

It’s available for pre-order now and includes story, boss raids, and multiplayer content. If you want to stay up to date with the latest information, you can visit the website official website or follow along Twitter, YouTubeOr Discord.
