Filming has already begun on the second series of Amazon’s Fallout TV series, and even though we still have plenty of time to wait to see what Lucy, Maximus, and Ghoul do in New Vegas, that doesn’t mean people aren’t excited.
This will no doubt be a boon for Fallout games as well, as the first series drew players en masse to games like Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, as the latter also made some petite crossovers with the series. Given that they were constrained to things like outfits and the show had already established itself as a hit, no one could be 100% sure it would make it into season one, as part of an interview about playable ghouls and other things, I asked 76 lead producer Bill LaCoste if the team wants to improve their crossover efforts in season two.

So some stuff, but nothing that would be too out of place in the world of Appalachia, with its mothman cults and giant snakes. Ok, I’m going to be a little tongue-in-cheek here, but it’ll be engaging to see what Bethesda does in terms of the Fallout game to coincide with Fallout’s second season, given how much chatter there has been about the lack of a recent release for the series that spawned the first series, for better or worse .
In the meantime, though, we’ll all at least have a playable Fallout 76 ghoul to try out in between squinting and looking at alleged photos from the second Fallout set.
