Inzoi, a rival to The Sims from PUBG creator Krafton, is set to eventually release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles.
Krafton caught the attention of The Sims fans by making a free demo of Inzoi available to download on Steam until August 25, 9:00 PM PT. However, many of them are wondering if, like The Sims, the game will ever make it beyond PC to consoles.
Fans will be elated to hear that a console release is likely, as an FAQ segment on Inzoi’s Discord, hosted by Krafton himself, states that the game “is currently available on PC (Steam) and is expected to come to consoles such as PS5 and Xbox later on.”
Krafton announced Inzoi in November 2023, and the release of the character creator suggests that development is going smoothly, but a tardy 2024 release window is currently the only indicator of a full launch. It also appears that the console release won’t happen simultaneously with the PC launch, so PS5 and Xbox players will likely have to wait even longer.
Inzoi is a “life simulation game where players become gods within the game, allowing them to change everything as they please and experience endless new stories in different life forms.” That was enough to grab the attention of disgruntled Sims fans, many of whom say they’ll switch to Inzoi for good once the game is fully released.
This incredibly detailed and realistic character creator has already been used to recreate numerous real-life and pop culture characters, including Taylor Swift, Harry Potter, Wario, Abraham Lincoln, and many more.
